Please take time to read the following terms and conditions carefully as they form the basis of the contract between yourself and Sunshine Artists.​

 

Set Up  

The artist/s will arrive 15 minutes prior to the party starting to set up and will leave at the end of the party.  ​

If more children are expected, please advise the artist prior to the party, as simplified face or arm designs can be offered instead. Please ensure that there is parking available as close to the entrance of the building as possible, since the artist will have to carry heavy equipment in. Failure to do so may result in the artist not being set up on time. If your event is to be outside, we can provide cover/shelter in the form of a sturdy gazebo. However, you will need to inform us within reasonable time, and there is a small extra charge to cover the time it takes to erect & dismantle. (Of course, you can provide your own shelter if you have it).

 

Parents/carers

Please make sure anyone in your care (especially if holding a birthday party) that parents/carers are aware that their child will be painted/braided. If there is a child who cannot experience our body art for some reason, whether it's due to an allergy or the parent just does not want their child to be painted, it is your responsibility to inform us of who cannot be painted/braided. In this case, we can make alternative arrangements for that person. 

 

​​Face Painting

​Face paints are recommended for children aged 2 and over. Young children (under 2) have very sensitive skin and their immune system is still developing and lower than older children, so they are more at risk to allergies. We are able to give a patch test to the hand/arm with the parents permission to see if there are any irritations. A patch test can be left on for 10 minutes and if no irritation has occurred, with parental permission, we are able to paint a design. We have the discretion to refuse to paint anyone with skin conditions/complaints such as cold sores and open cuts, a severe cold/runny nose or if they cannot stay still or are not enjoying being painted.

 

 

Hair Wrapping ​

Hair braids can only be put into hair that is long enough to plait. We are unable to braid hair that is too fine or anyone who suffers with alopecia. We have the discretion to refuse to braid anyone with head lice/eggs or are not enjoying ​having a braid put in.  



 

Airbrush Tattooing

​Airbrush tattoos cannot be put on to skin with open cuts, scabs or other skin conditions or complaints. We cannot tattoo anyone who is allergic to alcohol. We have the discretion to refuse to paint anyone if they cannot stay still or are not enjoying being painted.​​

Bookings & Cancellations

We will send you a written confirmation with full details of your booking as a receipt and final confirmation. This will not only keep a record of the contract between Sunshine Artists and yourself, but make sure all the details are correct. If you need to cancel your booking, you have 48 hours maximum to give us notice before you are charged for a cancellation fee. A cancellation fee is 20% of the original cost.

Deposits & Payments 

If asked for a deposit, this can be paid by cheque, cash or Paypal. (Deposit payments are generally for large payments, workshops or tuition.) Payments for birthday parties can be paid in cash on the day - please do not ask us to accept cheques on the day as we cannot accept as payment. 



 

Travel 

Travel expenses are included in the final cost for bookings within 20 miles of Norwich. An additional fee will be made for further travel over 20 miles calculated at 40p per mile for every mile more than 20 miles.
